What 10 Years Means To Us
Built Better Series Episode 1
We've learned over the last 10 years that women don't need multiple providers treating all different symptoms, one at a time. Women’s bodies do not work in isolation so we shouldn’t treat them in isolation. Instead, women need someone willing to step back and look at the whole picture, connect the dots then put the right solutions in the right order. Follow our journey of building a new model of care for women’s health.
When we hit our 10-year anniversary here at Revitalize, it was really a turning point because I hit my breaking point with the business and got very close to quitting. I've never had that before.
When I was working as a physical therapist after finishing school, so much of our treatments were being dictated by insurance companies and people that were not even clinicians, and it's really shown me just how disjointed and fragmented our healthcare operates as. And I think that it impacts their ability to actually have the outcomes that they want.
When I've worked with all of the women over the last 10 years, they've really shown me just how frustrating women's health and our healthcare systems can be. I started to notice that women needed more than just the one issue that they came in with. So women would come in with one thing, but then more issues would come to light that really were all connected. If we are only focused on one piece of it, we're missing the whole picture and the ability to treat all of the factors that are causing the problem.
When I started Revitalize over 10 years ago, the original vision was to really help provide quality care for women, and I truly wanted to be able to help women actually get the results and actually feel better and be able to build a team that all supported that vision as well. I could do so much better for women if I had the opportunity to be able to give them exactly what they needed.
Over the last 10 years, we've really been known here at Revitalize as the pelvic floor experts and also really made a name for ourselves with pregnancy and postpartum.
I took a step back, and when I did that, everything became very crystal clear, and the vision has never been more clear for me. This idea and this thought that I was meant to do this and that there was such a need for it propelled me to kind of go all in on this.
Women shouldn't have to address all their symptoms in isolation and be the ones trying to research and figure out all of the pieces of the puzzle. This is Revitalize's next evolution. Next 10 years for us looks at evolving how we can help women beyond just pelvic floor or pregnancy and postpartum, being women of all stages of life.
Coming this fall, women can expect a new, different solution for their common issues that's going to help them connect the pieces and put the right solutions in the right order, so they can finally feel like themselves again and get the answers that they've been searching for.
