Infrared Sauna Milwaukee at Revitalize PT,

the Leading Women's Health & Wellness Center.

Sweating is a natural and effective method for detoxifying the body. Infrared saunas, particularly those available at Revitalize Physical Therapy are known to excel in eliminating toxins from the body due to their ability to penetrate cells with infrared rays. Together with red light therapy, you can help your body function better on a physiological level. At our facility in Milwaukee, our recovery session with red light therapy and infrared sauna will help improve your overall health, decrease stress, and optimize your body's function.

Infrared sauna uses specific wavelengths of energy that generate heat, penetrate deep into your tissue and heat the body from within rather than traditional saunas that heat the air around you. This results in several different health benefits including a detoxifying sweat, that ultimately helps you destress and feel revitalized. Our sauna also has low-EMF technology which minimizes any adverse effects of exposure to energy waves.

What is an Infrared Sauna?

There are several health benefits of using an infrared sauna that result in better healing, relaxation and overall health.

Some of the known benefits of an infrared sauna are decreased pain, detoxification, improved sleep, lower stress levels, better immune system functioning and a reduction of inflammation.

What are the benefits?

Relax & Destress

By stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system and releasing serotonin and dopamine, the infrared sauna lowers stress levels and leaves you feeling relaxed.

Pain Relief

Get relief from muscle aches and pains by improving muscles elasticity and circulation. Infrared sauna also helps decrease inflammation which contributes to pain signals.

Boost Immunity

By raising your core body temperature, it helps your body fight off viruses and infections.

Tissue Healing

The infrared sauna stimulates collagen production which helps heal tissue and has anti-aging properties. It also reduces inflammation to help improve healing.

Detox

Sweating is your body's natural way of eliminating toxins from the body so using the infrared sauna will also help your body be more efficient with detoxification.

Improve Sleep

The soothing heat promotes muscle relaxation and can also help restore sleeping patterns.

At Revitalize Physical Therapy in Milwaukee, our rejuvenating sessions encompass a 45-minute experience that combines the therapeutic power of red light therapy and the soothing comfort of our infrared saunas. During this session, you'll luxuriate in 10 minutes of red light therapy, followed by 20 minutes of sauna time, along with a bit of extra time for changing.

As you step into our serene sauna rooms, the warmth generated by the infrared sauna heater will gently elevate your body temperature, boosting your metabolic rate and causing a slight increase in heart rate – all perfectly normal. You'll find complete privacy in our sauna spaces, but we do ask you to wear a bathing suit or undergarments for hygiene purposes. To enhance your comfort, we provide fresh towels, and you're welcome to unwind, meditate, or immerse yourself in a good book during your session.

Red light therapy, a key component of our experience, utilizes specific wavelengths of red light that promote healing, reduce pain, and enhance your skin's appearance. These unique wavelengths of light penetrate deep into the skin and stimulate collagen production and mitochondrial function. This results in improved skin elasticity and appearance, wound healing and the appearance of incisions, better brain function, decreased pain, recovery from injuries, and decreased stress. It's a natural, safe way to help you achieve better health, with a range of added beauty benefits as a bonus!
